    Description; This old Chimayo blanket is an exceptionally well designed weaving.
    Chimayo weavings are not Native American, but were mostly woven in and around the village of Chimayo, which is north of Santa Fe, New Mexico, by descendants of Spanish settlers. There is an ancient Spanish American weaving tradition in New Mexico.
    The item was from a Marin County, California collection.
