Working Vintage Gray Electrolux B-8 Floor Carpet Beautifier & Brushes 1982 1983

Description

This is a vintage, working Electrolux B-8 carpet beautifier.  It comes with the tank, brushes, storage tray, and splash guard and everything seen in the photos.
The items shown in the photos is exactly what will be shipped.
My mother-in-law bought this unit in the early 80's from a door-to-door Electrolux salesman in James Island, SC and she has been the only owner.  It's been stored indoors in the laundry room for nearly 40 years and I've been helping her purge unused items.
The motor housing is gray in color and research shows the gray unit with metal handles is the 1982 - 1983 era model. This matches up with the date provided by the owner, which is around the time she bought her house in 1983 when my wife was born.
When it's plugged in the brushes spin as expected and the on/off switch works.
There are a few minor cosmetic issues I've noticed. They include:
- the storage tray has some discoloration
- there's minor variations in the sheen of the finish on the rear-top of the motor housing. It's mostly noticeable under certain lighting
- there's a small amount of surface rust on the round metal circles on the lower part of the unit
- the brush bristles are slightly bent on some portions of the brushes.
- very light tarnish on the chrome, but overall in nice condition given the age
- some dirt and hair on the brushes
- light marks and scratches on the lower part and from general wear

We did not fill the tank and or attempt to actually clean a floor with it.
However, given the condition, minimal use, and how my mother-in-law takes care of things, I'd be surprised if it doesn't work as expected.
Due to the cost of shipping, we will not offer free return shipping on this item. However, if you change your mind within 60 days of the sale and want to return it, then you may pay for return shipping and we'll refund the full price.
Also, in the the unlikely event the item is damaged in shipping, then we'll work with the buyer to refund in that situation. We'd simply ask for photos and proof of the damage to the packaging and item so we're able to file a claim with the carrier.
